Shirdi Sai Baba was a guru from India and he is a Saint of Shirdi and he is worshipped by people from all religions mostly by Hindus and the Muslims. He is worshipped by peoples all around the world and he has millions and millions of devotees all over. He taught the real meaning of love to others, helping others, forgiveness, peace and how to help the poor.

Nobody knows where he came from and nobody knows his history and background. No information is known about Sai Baba's real name his parents and place of birth. When people asked him about his past life he said the name "Sai" was given to him when he came to Shirdi (Maharashtra - India) by a local temple priest who recognized him as a Muslim saint and greeted him with the words “Sai”. Sai Baba's biographer named “Narashima Swamiji” claims that Shirdi Sai Baba was born as child of Brahmin parents. According to the book named “Sai Satcharita”, Shirdi Sai Baba arrived at the village of Shirdi when he was about the age of 16. His presence at that village attracted many people and some people saw him mad and threw stones at him. He stayed in that village for three years and left the village for a year and he returned back to Shirdi permanently in 1858.

He lived in a Mosque and he named it as Dwarakamai. He goes to houses and asks for food and he play with children’s and he is called as “Pakiri” by children’s. He said “Sabkha Maalik Eh he” which means that all gods are one. He said trust in me such that all your prayers will be answered. He always uses to say “Allah Maalik”. He said pray me with all your hearts and keep faith and be patience so that all your prayers will be answered. His principles are “Faith” and “Patience”. For about 5 years he lived under a neem tree and often in the jungles around Shirdi. He took long periods of meditation. In the mosque he maintained a sacred fire which known as “dhuni” from which he gave sacred ash known as “'Udi” to people and his guests. This sacred ash was believed to have awesome healing powers. He treated the sick people using that sacred ash and taught spiritual lessons to the people who visited him. Sai Baba enjoys singing and dancing for religious songs for festivals. During the year 1910 Sai Baba's name and fame began to spread throughout in Mumbai and thousands and thousands of people started to visit him because people saw him as a powerful saint performing miracles.
